election day

election day

I don’t remember the last time I was so glad to have an election come to an end.  Well, actually, I do.  It was at the end of the last election.  Point being that elections
are great things, but the Dem/Rep warring that seems to go on beforehand is just exhausting.  The whole Democrat or Republican thing drives me nuts.  Why not look
at the person?  God says to look at the heart of a person.  Shouldn’t it be the same way in politics?  Though I tend to lean to the Republican side in many of my votes,
I have voted mostly Democrat on many tickets.  It’s the person and what they stand for versus the party.  Am I the only one looking at it that way?  What will you kids
do when it’s your turn to vote?  Will you even read about the candidates, or will you decide to go with one party come hell or high water?  It’s something for you to
be thinking about.

I’ve been working on gathering photos for the end-of-the-year program for band.  I know, it’s only November, but do you realize how soon May will be here?  If I want
to have a good photo side of it, I better start now!  I’ve had fun messing with the pics–it’s looking pretty cool.  Here are some of my favorites…

Actually, this is the Steen Family Portrait.  Chip’s head is there but on Ed
Medford’s body.  Isn’t it great?
