I Was Not Disappointed!

I Was Not Disappointed!

Spanish White Gazpacho.  Does it sound interesting?  It did to me, mainly because I don’t care for gazpacho and wondered how different this could be.  Sadly, many people have not tried this cool, smooth, and refreshing dish, and I believe it is leaving the menu at Max’s.  But for tonight, Chef James had some of the dish ready for me, truffle oil and almonds floating on top.  It was so good that I think I could have used a straw to sip slurp every drop.

But before the Gazpacho, I had the Hummus, and words might not do it as much justice as a picture, so here you go:

Warm, topped with a dusting of paprika, it was probably enough for my whole dinner.  It wasn’t too smooth, like most store-bought hummus is.  It was very hearty, very tasty, and I was in heaven.

You should put visiting Max’s on your list of things to do.  Click here to learn more.   They have incredible wines, foods (best fried chicken around, I’m told), and most importantly service.  Which brings me to Andrea (pronounced Andre’ a, I told you yesterday).  I’m going to giver her a spot on my blog all her own.  So, check back tomorrow.  You will be glad you did.
