Living With Intention

Living With Intention

What a challenge I have met in the book I am reading.  Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life:  Living the Wisdom of the Tao, by Wayne Dyer.

I’ve spent the past several years trying to live my life with intention…of course, several things have cropped up along the way that I wasn’t choosing to include.  Nothing is wasted, though.  I’ve met wonderful people, heard beautiful thoughts, and I’ve continued to explore how my faith can include ways of thinking that aren’t the in-the-box ways of thinking.  I want more from life, and I want to know that I’m doing all I can to bring the most to life, too.

So, I’ve been reading good books.  Yes, I’m pretty much a non-fiction reader.  This is how I know to challenge myself, though.  Art Brownstein’s Extraordinary Healing is a wonderful book.  In fact, I’m on my second reading of it and bought a hard copy of the book to go along with my Kindle version.  He has really challenged me, as has Kundalini, to use the mind and breath to really benefit my body.  And that’s where Wayne Dyer’s book has come into play.  The Wisdom of the Tao has been in existence for a very long time.  There is so much wisdom in the world that we tend to ignore because it isn’t new, but  old knowledge can be some of the best.  The action item that has been the hardest for me so far is the one that says to ‘say nothing’ in the face of annoyance.  I’m really trying to practice each of the verses and the wisdom they impart, but that one is rather hard–staying quiet isn’t something I do well.  But I so want to live the best life I can, embracing all that God has provided me, that I’m willing to try.

Life isn’t dull, and it isn’t quiet.  I’m attempting to live in a quieter place, while growing and exploring.  I’m enjoying most of the journey.

Living with intention…..I like that. We aren’t here on this earth forever. God has the best plan for us…..we surely don’t want to miss the privilege of his guidance.
