Dear God, You know everything that is going to happen.  You know the purpose that you have for each and every life.  I’ve discovered a friend who doesn’t know you or the gift of life that you offer.  Another friend is doing things with guys that she shouldn’t do.  Yet another friend is destroying lives in a search for revenge.   And then there is my friend who is struggling with drugs and alcohol.  Father, these are your children—no matter how old they are or how young.  I lift each of them up to you and ask that you open their eyes to see the beauty of following you, not the world.  Embrace them with arms that can reach into the farthest corner of their problems.  You, my Lord, are all-knowing.  Give them a desire to listen to your voice and follow your Spirit.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
