What a day yesterday was!  I know it’s been a week since I’ve written, but life’s just been a little overwhelming.  Yesterday we celebrated the life of my precious friend Lisa Davis Elliott.  It was a beautiful service with beautiful praise music, and I found myself wishing that our church had just a small dose of it.  There were so many wonderful faces there–old and newer friends.  I just thank God for Lisa’s life.  When you die, will God say to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant?”  That is surely what He has said to Lisa, and it is a challenge the rest of us should work to meet.

We started Wednesday night programs at church last night.  I’m leading two Bible Drill/Studies for the 1st – 6th graders.  Of course, my faithful friend Martha was at my side last night.  Sandy will be working with us, too, so it should be a lot of fun for us and for the kids.

Off to my day.  Kids to feed and deliver to school; a directory to get finished for the church before someone threatens to hang me; notes to write; and mostly, friends to pray for (I know not to end with the preposition, but I just did it anyway).

Have a great day!
Susan
