Friday night was the first game, and Saturday was my birthday.  The boys and I have made a decision to stay
home from church today.  I know…the place may fall apart, but we just decided to have our own service here
and take a breather from all of the busy-ness.  I know you all are dying to see pictures from Friday night’s
performance, but first you must see my birthday!!!  Also THANK YOU to everyone who made my birthday
just the most special ever!!! Mother, Kim, Laura, Patti, Margaret, Melida, Dianne, Carol R., David (though I kept missing his
calls due to band duty), my sweet lunch bunch, my Friends in Fellowship, my most precious family, and sweet
Elizabeth–who called me and made my heart swell with joy.  God is so so good to me!  Even when I don’t see
it, He’s still good, but times like this, I especially know how very good He is to me.
Oh, and I must share this–at Friends in Fellowship Saturday night, they had a birthday cake for me.
It was a beautiful Red Velvet Cake, and someone said, “We heard it was your favorite.”  “Well,” I said. “It’s
really Bernie’s favorite.”  It turns out, Bernie was the one they asked, and he just told him his favorite because I
don’t really have a favorite.  Isn’t he a mess!  I sure am glad he’s mine—and I’m especially glad he loves me so much.

Beautiful yellow roses, my favorite, from Bernie…Under Counter TV/Radio…..A Balloon on the mailbox!!!
I love birthdays!!!!  I’ll have as much fun with your birthday as I do with my own, though!!
OK, now for Friday night……

 The Guard led the way,
as the instruments came behind.  People really must remember that the guard and instruments
are what make up the band.

Of course, I think this trumpeter in front is the best-looking one in the bunch!!!  I’m aloud to brag…it’s MY Xanga!

Special thanks to those pit-packing Moms and Dads!
