Each morning, I receive a precious devotional that is practically a note from God to me. I’ve deleted my name and left a blank for you Have a wonderful day and trust God–I love you. HUMBLE YOURSELVES BEFORE THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP. ( JAMES 4:10 *NIV ) Dear _______, Sometimes we all become depressed because of things that happen in our lives. For sometimes we feel; WE ARE HARD PRESSED ON EVERY SIDE, BUT NOT CRUSHED; PERPLEXED, BUT NOT ABANDONED; STRUCK DOWN, BUT NOT DESTROYED. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 4:8-10 ) Now when you feel the pressures of life remember the words of king David, for he wrote; THOUGH I WALK IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE, YOU PRESERVE MY LIFE; YOU STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND AGAINST THE ANGER OF MY FOES, WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND YOU SAVE ME. ( PSALM 138:7 ) THEREFORE WE DO NOT LOSE HEART. FOR OUR LIGHT AND MOMENTARY TROUBLES ARE ACHIEVING FOR US AN ETERNAL GLORY THAT FAR OUTWEIGHS THEM ALL. SO WE FIX OUR EYES NOT ON WHAT IS SEEM, BUT WHAT IS UNSEEN. FOR WHAT IS SEEN IS TEMPORARY, BUT WHAT IS UNSEEN IS ETERNAL. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-18 ) So _____, HUMBLE YOURSELF, THEREFORE, UNDER GOD’S MIGHTY HAND, THAT HE MAY LIFT YOU UP IN DUE TIME. CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU! Amen.
to put in your own name as you read it. If you’re feeling down, depressed, overwhelmed–all of the above I think you’ll find the
words very helpful. They helped me this morning, as I now am reminded that humbling myself and allowing God to take over is the
only way to deal with a mixture of emotions. What we can only wonder about as our future, God already knows as history–it’s in the
books as far as he’s concerned. If you don’t believe me, read the book of Daniel, which was a prophecy, and compare it with what we
know as history with Alexander the Great and the nations of that time. You’ll be amazed!
Thank you Mrs. Steen! That brightened my day!… Have a wonderful rest of the week!
