Now, I can tell you where I was yesterday…at 12:45, Martha called and said she
had two tickets to the 2:15 SEC Tournament Game–Kentucky vs Ole Miss. Did
I want to use them? Well, Bernie had been home sick all week, but I called him anyway.
No, he just couldn’t go. So, I called Martha back and asked if she would go with me?
YES! So, we raced to Nashville with 5 minutes to spare. It was my very first Kentucky
basketball game. I was thrilled. It wasn’t the best game–they could have played much
better, but they won, and I wasn’t in my living room–I was surrounded by a sea of blue
shirts. It was really great!
