Life is Always Happening!

Life is Always Happening!

an edit:….I forgot to mention that Miss Beth Garner taught me how to fix popcorn in the big popcorn machine on Friday night.  I feel like quite the old pro now.  In fact, I think I need one of those machines for my house!  Wouldn’t that be fun???  Thanks, Bethy, for being such a good teacher!  I love you.

It’s bad when even Bernie notices that I haven’t updated in a few days!  Life gets busy, you know?  Well, Chip’s Mid-State Concert was this afternoon.  It was beautiful!  It’s amazing that you can take all these kids who’ve never played together and whip them into shape in a matter of two
and a half days.

They aren’t all the clearest pictures, but they are the best I could do with my contacts messing up like they were.

We just finished watching The Phantom of the Opera, while we ate some very good homemade vegetable soup.  Parker had just awakened after a long night at a lock-in with some friends at Trinity Methodist.  I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything…but he and Olivia Evans…well, cute couple!  We love all those Evans girls!

Bernie and I worked the concession stand last night at the Siegel vs. Blackman game.  That was fun.  Went to the concert today.  Watched Phantom tonight, then watched the Western Kentucky ball game just moments ago.  Tomorrow we have church and youth group.  Monday is a holiday.  It’s a day to celebrate Martin Luther King.  In my book, it’s a day to celebrate anyone who has stood for rights.  It’s not easy to take a stand sometimes.  When you risk physical harm in doing so, it’s really not easy.  Many of us will never know what that is like.  Many of us will never know what it’s like to have to risk it all to stand for our savior, Jesus Christ.  It’s pretty easy to be a believer here today.  Thank you, Lord, to those who have gone before, to those who have taken the stand so that we may worship so freely.  May we not take these freedoms for granted.
