The Journey Home is a day shelter/Christian outreach here in Murfreesboro. That’s where I spend a lot of my time. Different groups come in to cook and serve our lunch each day. Today’s chef was Frank, and he fixed the best squash I’ve ever eaten. Baked on a cookie sheet, olive oil and lots of fresh herbs and a little garlic powder. I can’t wait to go home and fix my butternut squash the same way. It really was amazing. So was the chicken, from what I heard. There was no chicken left, so I just had squash. You never know what kind of incredible food we’ll have each day.
