So, the Christmas Parade was yesterday.  It was a lovely day, all in all, though the big pile of horse poop that I narrowly escaped practically marred the beauty of the day.  I got to see all of those amazing band kiddos and some pretty awesome band parents, who I love running into whenever the opportunity presents itself.

So, did everyone have fun?

Chip and Chelsey are watching a movie, after they finished a nice, cool walk around the neighborhood, which was followed by a toasty cup of hot chocolate full of marshmallows.  Yes, a little romance, I suppose.  Bernie offered to go for a walk with them, but I told him we should just keep the home fires burning.  Don’t you agree?

Parker…I hardly have seen him today.  He went home with Matthew, they dropped his backpack here a little bit ago, and then they headed to the ball game.  I miss his face when I don’t see it for several hours!  This social life thing is too much sometimes for a mom to bear.
